If you have some time to spare in Taipei, Dadaocheng offers the perfect blend of soulful heritage and modern chill. On my last day in Taiwan, I spent the afternoon exploring the historic wharf, Dihua Street and Taiwan New Cultural Movement Memorial Museum in this area.

Often affectionately dubbed as "Little Fuzhou," Sitiawan was the town that 363 Christian pioneers from the Fujian province of China arrived to start anew in 1903. The town is therefore famous for its Fuzhou heritage and authentic Fuzhou cuisine.
