Founded in the 4th Century BC, Split houses the Diocletian’s Palace which is known to be the most complete remains of a Roman palace. While other Roman palaces lies in ruins, here in Split you can actually see an actual Roman palace. The Historical Complex of Split with the Palace of Diocletian is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
