[MALAYSIA] 2D1N in Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson

Lexis Hibiscus is located along Pasir Panjang beach of Port Dickson, about an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is famous for its private pool and steam room in all their water villas and tower rooms.

I spent a night in Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson with my family on 11 January 2021 on the same day that Malaysia government announced the commencement of MCO 2.0 from 13 January 2021. I have booked two rooms way back in September last year when there was a 50% promotion for their hotel room rate (normal rate is about RM700 for cheapest room). The promotion was valid till end of January. Hopefully the inter-district and inter-state travel ban will be lifted soon when the Covid situation improves.

The layout of their water villas form the shape of Malaysia's national flower, hibiscus, thus its name. Map above taken from the hotel's official website.

Only one person is allowed to check in at the reception counter, the remaining guests can wait in designated areas. Parking on site is free for guest. Guests are required to wear mask at all times in the hotel premises. Temperature check and physical distancing are also practiced in the hotel. Not all the facilities are opened eg. the public swimming pool was closed. Photo of the reception area above was taken at night.

Since I have tried the water villa under Lexis Port Dickson before, I decided to try for the tower room this time. The tower room overlooks the hibiscus shaped water villas and the beach.

The Sky Pool Villa is really spacious with two king beds, bathroom with bathtub and two shower heads, a really large balcony equipped with a private pool and steam room.

The check-in time is from 3pm. We wasted no time to jump into the pool, of course. The pool water was cold. But fret not, the steam room besides the pool will heat up your body nicely after getting out from the pool. Two thumbs up!

My boy was tired after playing in the pool for some time.

But he was all excited again when we headed to the beach.

A touristy thing to do is to post in front of the colourful sign of "I love Hibiscus" at the beach.

We enjoyed some time to play and unwind at the beach. It was a weekday and it was nice that the beach wasn't crowded with people.

Good times at the beach.

In the evening, we strolled to the Hibiscus.

Guests can catch the buggy ride and there are a few stops along the way if they prefer not to walk.

Walking back to the hotel tower block. The Lighthouse in the middle of the Hibiscus has a few restaurants but I didn't dine in the hotel. Instead, I chose to order delivery of fried rice and noodles from a local seafood restaurant nearby.

The boys were tired after playing in the pool and at the beach for the evening.

Took a family photo before checking out from the hotel. We had a really relaxing stay in the hotel.
