BORACAY, PHILIPPINES – Part 1
Just came back from Philippines late September. First stop in Philippines, Boracay Island.
Boracay has always been a dream vacation to wind down, relax and enjoy the sea breeze. Boracay has often been called the ‘Best Island in the World’ or the ‘World’s Most Beautiful Tropical Island’.
True enough, the shoreline is dotted with beautiful, uncrowded beaches such as Puka and Balinghai Beach.
White Beach however is the main attraction where most of the tourist goes. It is famous for its pristine, white powdery sand and crystal clear blue water of the surrounding sea.

From my observation, South Koreans makes up of at least 45% of the tourists in Boracay. Seriously, I am not exaggerating. You can see them everywhere in Boracay: on the beach, walkways, shops, dive shops and restaurants.
So if you want to watch or meet up with topless hunks and bikini clad gals from Korea, well this is the place to be.
Well the other percentage of tourists should be around 25% Caucasian, 10% Japanese, 5% Chinese and 15% others.
White Beach Path.
White Beach Path runs adjacent to white beach but is set back from the shore by stalls, trees and shades hindering a clear view of the beach and sea. Hotels, restaurants, pubs and shops are located at the entire length of this path.

This is the resort I stayed during my stay in Boracay.

Local convenient shops.
D’Mall Boracay is the place you want to be to get your food, souvenirs, beachwear and etc.

Noticeable landmark of D’Mall. In case you get lost in D’Mall, this is the point where you can regroup with your friends.

This is the resort I stayed during my stay in Boracay.
During the night, occupants of the resort gather around here to hang out and have some drinks.

D’Mall Boracay is the place you want to be to get your food, souvenirs, beachwear and etc.

Noticeable landmark of D’Mall. In case you get lost in D’Mall, this is the point where you can regroup with your friends.
D’Talipapa is something like D’Mall but it has smaller walkways, the shops are smaller, the items are not branded but hey, it’s cheaper. Don’t leave D’Talipapa without trying out the seafood here. You won’t get Michelin Star restaurants here, but the seafood is fresh and the price is unbeatable.

........that ended up as lunch.
Just bring over your live seafood from the market to any of the restaurants just beside the market. The seafood was placed in a plastic bag and man, they were really lively and kicking. By the time I reached the restaurant, there were holes in the plastic bag. They are about to be slaughtered, of course the seafood was trying to escape.
Giant prawns, crabs, lobster and a fish, all for less than USD 50 including the costs of cooking. Of course it all depends on your negotiation skills in the market. The restaurant however is all based on a fixed nominal rate.
The restaurant I had lunch and at the background is the seafood market.
Having a Ice Blended Mango. Well, Philippines is famous for their mangoes, so don’t leave Philippines without trying them.

When you say Philippine beaches, Boracay will be the very first one that will come out of our mind. Its always been a hot spot during summer. Boracay has its something that makes tourist to go back.

So many things to do in Boracay, I want to go there by next year on a summer season and then maybe I will stay on 7 Stones boracay, someone told me that it is a nice hotel to stay while you are on Boracay.
