IDAHO FALLS, USA
Idaho Falls, a beautiful city in Idaho. Stopped here to enjoy the surroundings. Idaho Falls is the largest city in Eastern Idaho and is often featured as one of the "best places to live” in various publication due to its high quality of life.
Idaho Falls waterfall is created by the diversion dam for a hydroelectric project. This Idaho Falls man-made waterfall is 100m long and 5m high. It is also how this city got its name.
Snake River is the river that powers this hydroelectric project. The original dam was installed in 1909 and the dam that we see today was constructed in 1982. This and 3 other hydroelectric plants help the city of Idaho Falls generates half of its own electric power needs.
The Idaho Falls Idaho Temple in the background is the first Mormon Temple built in Idaho.
I am now at the Idaho Falls Greenbelt, located just along the Snake River.
Snake River Greenbelt is open to public for recreational purpose.
A woman fishing by the river while enjoying her book.
Wild ducks and geese can be seen along the river.
The Mormon temple, completed in the year 1945, is a beautiful constructed building.
The goose stretches its neck in anticipation after seeing a bread the woman is holding.
It’s my bread!
Delicious.
Up close with the wild goose. The goose are not afraid of humans as they are so used to people feeding them.
It is however not advisable to feed the wild ducks and geese.
Let’s just leave the ducks and geese by themselves.
Taking a stroll along the greenbelt is truly invigorating.

A cute toddler walking bare foot on the grass.
A horse shaped bench at the greenbelt.
Can you see a blue bird resting on the tree branch? It is actually part of the design of the bench.
The small but pretty garden at the greenbelt.
Well if you want to discover more of the city, you can always drop by the Visitor Center.
After Idaho Falls, I had a buffet dinner in a Chinese restaurant.
Fujifilm Professional? Looks like my beau found someone who shares the same passion for Fujifilm camera. (laugh)
The distinctive red roof Pizza Hut which can mostly only be found in America.
Still in the state of Idaho, I spent the night at Pocatello, a city surrounded by mountains.
Pocatello is a quiet city with nothing much to see or do. Just stayed here for the night before heading to my next destination tomorrow.
A welcome sign by the roadside.
Wow, extreme fire danger today, really?
Walked to the nearest supermarket after dark.
The wide and neat isle of refrigerated food section.
My beau bought a can of tomato mixed beer. I had a sip and grimaced. Well, it taste like… tomato juice gone bad. (laugh) Not too fond of tomato anyway. With that, I call it a day.
