JAPAN - Hiroshima
The first thing that comes to my mind if one ask me about the impression of Hiroshima is it is the city where the first atomic bomb was dropped in 1945.Stopped by the highway rest stop for a break.
You can almost get everything you need for refreshment with the row of vending machines available.
This the A-bomb dome. It used to be the Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall. It was one of the few buildings that remain standing after the attack. It is also a Unesco World Heritage site.

We are now at the Peace Memorial Park.
This is the children’s peace monument in the park.
The Cenotaph is an arch tomb that commemorates victims who died because of the atomic bomb. Every year on the anniversary of the bomb attack, ceremony is held at the park.
Entering the Peace Memorial Musuem, we were greeted by a monument with the message of peace carved on it.

We had fried pork rice for dinner. Yummy, yummy.
