[NETHERLANDS] Amsterdam Lovers Canal Cruise
Amsterdam is a city which is famous for its lovely canals. The canals were recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2010. What better way to see the astonishing architecture of the city than to take a cruise?
Arriving at Amsterdam Central Station in the evening. It's the main train station in Amsterdam.
Church of St. Nicholas is very near to the Amsterdam Central Station. It's the city's primary Roman Catholic Church.
After checking in to the hotel, I went to take the Lovers Canal Cruise. A day canal cruise ticket is typically 16 euros. But I have discount from Booking.com which only cost me 12 euros!

The Lovers Canal Cruises day canal cruise departs every 20 to 30 minutes between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. Its boats leave from three locations: the jetty on the west side of the Central Station, Leidseplein, and the Prins Hendrikkade.
The boat is equipped with GPS audio guide in 16 languages.
This one hour cruise takes visitors to some of the highlights of Amsterdam such as Eye Film Museums.
This is the Concert Hall with glass front.
Passed by NEMO Science Museum.
This VOC ship called Amsterdam, is a replica of an 18th-century cargo ship of the Dutch East India Company.
The ship was wrecked in a storm on the English Canal in 1749.
This is the Maritime Museum.
Amsterdam has one of the oldest botanical garden in the world called Hortus Botanicus. It opens from 10am to 5pm.
Beautiful merchant mansions along the canals.
Magere Brug (‘skinny bridge’), which spans the Amstel river. The bridge is made famous by a James Bond movie "Diamonds Are Forever".
One of the many houseboats on Amsterdam canals.
Time flied by and before I knew it, I was back to the city center where the boat stops. These decks are built specially for bicycles to park.
Iblis Hotel which is very near to Amsterdam Central Station.
The water is an ideal vantage point to see the city and I would very much recommend it, regardless of how long you have to spend in Amsterdam.
