JAPAN – Himeji Castle

DSCF1015Himeji Castle is considered one of Japan’s most spectacular castle. It was never destroyed in wars, earthquakes or fires. I dared say this oriental castle is equally breath-taking as its western counterpart.

DSCF0970Hiroshima Airport Hotel has a very big compound and garden. The trees were changing colours as it was already autumn.

DSCF0971There is even a lake in the garden. The morning air was chilly and crisp after rain.

DSCF1004

PB070203Unfortunately major renovation works were being carried out during the time we visited the castle. A large scaffold structure is being erected to cover the entire main castle.

DSCF1008Err, don’t know where this guy comes from? Don’t ask.

DSCF1011Most other parts of the castle are still accessible to tourist.

PB070208These loopholes are designed in such a way that it’s bigger on the inside and smaller on the outside.
