[MALAYSIA] 2D1N in Corus Paradise Resort Port Dickson
Located in Port Dickson, Corus Paradise Resort Port Dickson is a family-friendly resort which features an outdoor pool with water slides. I managed to book a Superior twin room (2 queen beds) including breakfast for two for only RM70 after redeeming RM100 travel voucher! It is truly value for money.
The hotel lobby for check-in is on Level 3 which is two floors below the carpark area on Level 5. You can either take the lift on the left or walk down the grand staircase at the center.
We checked-in on the 26th December, a day after Christmas. RM100 cash deposit was collected for two rooms upon check-in.
The view of the swimming pool from the lobby looks really inviting. It was virtually empty around 3pm.
Interior of the room. I like the view from the room which is facing the swimming pool and sea. The room was basic and the floor was a bit sandy. Everything works in the room except for the television.
Time for swimming! There are two slides at the children pool.
The children pool is shallow around 2ft deep while the adult pool is at 4ft deep.
The pool is open from 9am to 7pm. There is no life guard around.
After swimming for about 2 hours in the pools, we headed to the beach adjacent to the hotel. The sand was fine but the sea water was dirty, I would avoid swimming in the sea.
We had dinner at Embok Village Steamboat & Seafood restaurant which is located 3-minutes drive away from the hotel. It is a Malay restaurant which is right on the beach. It is a great place to enjoy the sunset view while dining.
The sunset was stunning that day.
Dinner was great. We ordered some satay as appetiser. The main dishes were coconut tom yam seafood, ikan masak merah (fried fish with sweet & sour sauce), ayam kunyit (tumeric chicken), udang butter (fried butter prawns), chap choy (stir fried mixed vegetable) and telur dadar (omelette). I'm pleased that there is no mosquitoes although outdoor dining in Malaysia is proned to have this problem. The bill came about RM190++. Take note that the restaurant only accept cash payment or online bank transfer.
Buffet breakfast is served at Dickson's Coffee House on Level 3. I would say the variety of food is limited but suffice. They served fried rice, boiled egg, sausages, potato wedges, bread, self-serviced noodles, porridge, watermelon and papaya for fruit. Beverage wise is the usual coffee, tea and juices. Breakfast is chargeable for additional person at RM25.
Went for a walk around the bay in front of the hotel in the morning.
The boys went for another round of swimming in the morning before checking out the hotel.
We headed to the Port Dickson Waterfront for a photostop and lunch before calling it a day.
If you are interested, you can consider going to International Giant Lantern Expo while in Port Dickson. The expo is open from 6.30pm to 10..30pm until 15 March 2023. The admission tickets is RM18 for adult and RM8 for child/senior citizen. Photo from official website: https://fbecofarm.com/
