It has been two weeks since I came back from the business trip in Singapore. I didn't expect that my first trip overseas post-Covid would be a business trip and to Singapore! My passport was expired and I had to renew it for this trip. Despite the busy work schedule, I managed to catch up with two of my long-time friends in Singapore and even explored some new places in Singapore. So it was quite worth-while in the end.

[MOROCCO] Desert Tour Day 3: Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou
After staying a night in Boumalne Dades, I visited Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou on my way to Marrakesh. This is my last day of the desert tour. In my opinion, Ourzazate is a good base for local touring or just passing through. It has two movie studios, a cinema museum and a kasbah. The highlight of my desert tour on day 3 is actually Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987 which is located 30km away from Ourzazate. It is one of the best preserved Kasbahs in Morocco.

[MOROCCO] Desert Tour Day 2: Todra Gorges and Boumalne Dades
On my 2nd day of Desert Tour, I traveled from Merzouga to Todra Gorges and spent the night in Boumalne Dades. Todra Gorges are a series of deep cliff-sided limestone canyons in the eastern side of High Atlas Mountains, carved out by the Todra River and Dades River. Boumalne Dades, on the other hand, is a quaint town where you will find beautiful red hue traditional houses in Tinghir province. The landscape is equally stunning although vastly different from the desert.

[MOROCCO] Desert Tour Day 1: Saharan Morocco
Spending a night in Sahara Desert, the largest hot desert on earth, is on the bucket list of many. Many tour companies in Morocco will offer the so-called "Sahara Desert Tour" but I can assure you that the standard 3-day tours will bring you to Merzouga town and from here, you'll depart to Erg Chebbi where you'll be spending a night. Erg Chebbi is in Saharan Morocco. This area is not to be confused with Moroccan Western Sahara (the real part of Sahara Desert in Morocco) which is further south. Despite this, a journey into the desert is still considered a highlight during my trip in Morocco.
